This work aims at investigating whether the “Minha Casa Minha Vida” Program (MCMV) generated an electoral return for the government candidate in presidential elections. Using two different measures for the intensity of MCMV Program, a fixed effect model was elaborated at the micro-regional level to control for non-observed factors in order to avoid the omitted variable bias in the estimates. The findings reveal that there is no evidence of electoral return of the MCMV Program.
