This study aimed to analyze the impact of exports by technological intensity on the economic growth of the microregions in the Northeast of Brazil during the years 2010 to 2016.For this purpose, an exploratory analysis of spatial data (AEDE) was applied, and estimated the model by Cuaresma e Wörz (2005) using data in a spatial panel using fixed effects. The survey pointed out that exports from the Northeast region are concentrated around goods with low technological intensity, in which they have little added value and low productivity. In addition, it was identified in the estimated model that economic growth is reduced as exports of low technological content increase, in accordance with Cuaresma e Wörz (2005).
